STINGS THAT  WE DO NOT  BELONG

Photographed in the early days of my documentary journey . [2019 ]

Carefully perpetuating the conspicuous reaction to the stinging

sensation of salt in contact with the eye, the elements and

ambiance of this imagery here alludes to abuse and the silent

cries of most of its victims.

The darkness surrounding the agonized child crying out and the

contrasting reflection of the camera flash tells the story of an

otherwise blindsided scream on deaf ears, as the graphical

impression of the outcry adepicted in the image is inhibited and

restricted by the limits of a picture without the jurisdiction only

sound embodies. So one only appreciates through a visual

representation and perhaps induced empathy, what would best

be represented by an audiovisual medium. This short synopsis is

to prove that concerning matters of abuse, we don’t need to

acquire every detail to initiate interrogation towards metering

justice: this is pertinent to the prejudicial systems of justice by

both culture and law enforcement and is herein addressed in this

photograph. Turning a blind eye to physical abuse prejudice.
